Johnny and Ann Myers take the WIN on Lake Livingston!!!
C.A.S.T. Southeast started their fourth tournament of the season on April 19th, 2008 on Lake Livingston out of Waterfront Lodge and Marina. John and Jennifer Anderson greeted C.A.S.T. Southeast members at the Waterfront Lodge for registration and dock talk.
Twenty seven teams left Waterfront Lodge and were greeted with clear skies and off colored water. C.A.S.T. anglers had patterns from bed fishing, flipping hyacinths, targeting bushes, and the tournament was mostly a shallow water pattern. We even had a few teams utilizing this time to prefish for upcoming tournaments on Lake Livingston.
Many of our C.A.S.T. anglers utilized their Just Keepers weigh in bag from www.duncanbags.com to bring their hefty fish to the scales.
The winning couple, Johnny and Ann Myers, is no stranger to Lake Livingston and its feast or famine attitude. Johnny and Ann targeted their local favorite spots fishing shallow water with brush hogs. They brought in a five fish limit of quality bass with a total weight of 13.54 pounds. Congratulations to this great team on their WIN!
Second Place team, Landan and Anne Ware, utilized two different baits to catch their fish on a shallow water pattern. Landan's go to bait was a "uaintgotit" and they also used white senkos to catch a four bass stringer with a weight of 13.22 pounds. They mainly targeted the Kickapoo creek area. Congratulations to this team on their second place finish.
Third place team, Larry and Joyce Coleman, are no stranger to cashing checks and hanging plaques. They always seem to find the right areas to target to bring in a limit of bass. Larry and Joyce brought in a five fish stringer of healthy bass that weighed 12.78 pounds. They targeted mid-lake areas with brush hogs and due to some important tournaments coming up could not divulge any other information. Good luck to this great team on their upcoming tournaments.
Big Bass honors go to the team of Edwin and Julie Loitz. The traveled up White Rock creek and were flipping green pumpkin red brush hogs in 3ft. of water. They managed to catch a 4.78 pound bass for BIG BASS honors. Congratulations to this team on their BIG BASS catch.
